Chess Puzzle: Learn from Tal

Mikhail Tal: Unmatched style

Hello Everyone,

Mikhail Tal was one of the greatest attacking chess genuises of all time. In this puzzle he finishes off the game in typical Tal-style. Can you figure it out? The solution is simple and beautiful.

He was often called 'Misha', a diminutive for Mikhail, and 'The magician from Riga' for his daring combinational style. Tal was also a highly-regarded chess writer; his professional career was that of a chess journalist. The Mikhail Tal Memorial is held in Moscow each year since 2006 to honour his memory.

You can run the solution in the flashplayer below but not before you think a bit!

Tal-Rantanen, Tallinn, 1979
