A Soviet chess master's perfect move

GM Kaidanov - On life in America as a chess coach

Hello Everyone!

We found this very nice video on Franz Strasser's video blog. Strasser is digital reporter for BBC World News America in Washington.

He writes, "This video blog is my personal journey across America. As a recent immigrant myself, I will talk to other newcomers about their experiences. I will check comments early and often, so please feel free to join me on this trip."

Strasser put this question to his subject: Is technology and the way it connects people making where you live as an immigrant less important?

This video that he put up is that of GM Gregory Kaidanov considered one of the best chess players in the world. He and his family emigrated from the former Soviet Union to Lexington, Kentucky in 1992. He teaches chess to students around the world over the internet, and says America is home now.

View the video here. You are bound to love it - the chess part for sure!
