Chess Loss Frustration and Police at the Doorstep!

Hello chess blog friends, here's a funny chess incident reported by Norwegian site thelocal.no from Oslo, but we totally understand the chess frustration! Losing at chess can get the police to your doorstep is, however, a new one ;)

Police in Oslo, who attended an emergency call after hearing screams from an apartment, were shocked to find the howls belonged to a lone chess player displeased with his performance during a game.

The police received several calls on Monday evening after people heard screams coming from an apartment in the nation's capital.

Yet when a police patrol arrived to investigate, they found the screams had come from a male chess fan who was playing against a computer and had simply been out moved.

Oslo police tweeted on their official social media page after the incident: “We’re at the place. Just a chess-player frustrated by constantly loosing against his own PC.”

Chess game of quick Queens!

Hello Everyone,

How many moves into a game do you think you can manage to promote a pawn to a Queen? We mean in a regular game with regular moves and no trick moves? Pretty long... right? Sometimes, you may even have to wait till the endgame to actually promote a pawn. Well! Here is an interesting game and it seems both players were in a real hurry to promote their pawns to Queens.

The result: Four Queens on the board by Move 7. Enjoy the game.
