Here is the latest chess news update from the 7th Mikhail Tal Chess Tournament in Moscow where the first round was played today. The only drawn game of the first day was between Carlsen and Kramnik that saw the World Chess No. 1 come under a terrific attack, but he drew with a perpetual check. The results of Round 1 were as follows:
  • Aronian, Levon-Nakamura, Hikaru 1-0
  • Carlsen, Magnus-Kramnik, Vladimir ½-½
  • Grischuk, Alexander-McShane, Luke 1-0
  • Morozevich, Alexander-Caruana, Fabiano 1-0
  • Radjabov, Teimour-Tomashevsky, Evgeny 1-0
Don't forget to watch the second round of the Tal Chess Memorial tomorrow as well at the official website.
