Top-seeded IM Irina Vasilevich wins 'Mediterranean Flower 2011' Chess Tournament

News from another quaint women's chess tournament!

WIM Tereza Olšarova, WIM Inna Agrest, tournament director Ivan Mandekic and IM Irina Vasilevich.

The 11th WGM tournament 'Mediterranean Flower 2011' was held in Rijeka from 26th February to 5th March 2011. Ten players competed in the round robin event. The playing hall was in the beautiful 'House of Chess Rijeka.

The top-seeded IM Irina Vasilevich routinely won the tournament by collecting 7.5 points and keeping the full point margin ahead of the most pleasant surprise in Rijeka - WIM Inna Agrest from Sweden.
