Vladislav Nevednichy Wins Golden Island Krk Chess 2013

Hi everyone, 

Here is the latest chess tournament news via Fide. Romanian GM Vladislav Nevednichy showed an impressive performance to take clear first place in the International chess tournament Golden Island Krk 2013, which took place on 6-12th April at the Hotel Malin in Malinska, Island Krk, Croatia. Nevednichy was undefeated during the whole tournament and obtained 8/9 points, to end up with a 2736 rating performance. He defeated all his lower-rated opponents and drew with the two top seeds to complete this feat. Croatian GM Ognjen Cvitan and his compatriot IM Goran Durovic finished second and third, respectively, both with 6.5/9 points. The event was organized by the Chess club “Draga” Rijeka and Chess club “Krk”.
