Navalmoral Chess Event: GM Fernando Peralta wins on Tiebreak

Hi everyone,


The latest chess tournament news via Fide is that 18th Torneo Internacional Villa de Navalmoral has concluded. Grandmasters Peralta Fernando ARG 2612, GM Matamoros Franco Carlos S. ECU 2519, Epishin Vladimir RUS 2575 shared the first place with 7 points each. The official website reports that Peralta was declared winner on tiebreak.

The 18th Torneo Internacional Villa de Navalmoral took place from 5th to 9th December in Navalmoral de la Mata, Spain. The nine round Swiss event had 65 participants from 12 countries, including 15 Grandmasters. Last year winner GM Sergey Fedorchuk was the top seeded player.

The total prize fund was 14,415 EUR, with the top prizes being EUR 3200, 2100, 1000, 800, 700, 650, 600 etc.
