Time for a chess movie - "Knight Moves" (1992) by Carl Schenkel...(Diane Lane , Christophe Lambert, Tom Skerritt , Daniel Baldwin...) A chess grandmaster is in a big tournament, and when his lover is found painted up and the blood drained out of her body he becomes a chief suspect.

well its a great movie but let me warn all readers it's kinda scary so just be aware. it's a great movie otherwise but not for the weak-hearted.
