What's chess got to do with a missing sock? funky video

Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hello everyone,

What's chess got to do with a missing sock? Can you get inside the washing machine to find a lost sock? Would you take on Death in a game of chess to get that sock? Call this creativity, imagination or ridiculously funny but do watch this video. We have no more words to describe... this... er... chess video. ;)

Just an aside: I used to live with a girl who would go insane any time the dryer "ate" one of her socks. Because practical joking is something I inherited from my father, I decided to take one of her clean socks from her sock drawer and throw it into the dryer any time she did laundry, which meant that almost every time she'd have an odd number of socks and think the dryer "ate" another one. Then I'd laugh myself silly watching her throw a fit.

This went on for a little over half a year, until she finally realized that if the dryer was actually "eating" all of those socks over the course of six months, she shouldn't have as many as she did. When she finally busted me on my little prank, I learned just how loud she could yell. I deserved it, of course, but the memory of those laughs I had will last a lifetime :)

    lol @ Rmington3200's post!!! :)

A rather odd video for sure... But as all good marketing executives say, "all publicity is good publicity!" so keeping chess on the radar of the fast pace world these days isn't bad not matter what light chess has been cast under! Assuming I thought.
