You can play Garry Kasparov in a Chess Challenge Fundraiser on April 7 in Florida

Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hi everyone,

Get going fast. This is a chess challenge fundraiser that can have you play the great Garry Kasparov one on one in Naples, Florida! Every game participant will be presented with the autographed board on which you play with the great world chess champion, a photograph taken with him, a DVD of the event, and a signed certificate!

The event will take place on April 7 in one of the Meccas of classic car fans, the Collier Automotive Museum, which is located in Naples. The Museum is usually only open to car club members or by special appointment, so this is a rare opportunity.

Here are the options as organised by Revere America - a non-partisan organisation dedicated to advancing common sense public policies rooted in our traditions of freedom and free markets.

  • Play A Simul Game – up to ten boards, includes entry into a drawing to play a blitz game against Kasparov, $1,000 each
  • Play A Blitz Game – play one-on-one with Garry, only two blitz games offered, $5,000 each
  • Sponsor A Student for the Simul-Game – (through high school level only) – up to ten boards, $500 each, accompanied by two adults
For full details and travel and lodging information, download the invitation here in PDF. To reserve a space or for more information contact: Kim at +1 239-384-6462, KMinarich@revereamerica.org

Oh God what an event. Wish I could send Kasparov with a world map to come to this part of the planet also. Have fun folks all of you who attend the event. I wish I were there.
