Hi everyone,

Fide has announced the bidding procedure and regulations for the Women's World Championship Match 2011 to be held between current champion Hou Yifan (China) and challenger Humpy Koneru (India). The match is scheduled for 10 November to 5 December 2011 and the deadline for receiving bids is 31 May.
Hou Yifan
The match system would include 10 games. The time control for each game shall be: 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, 60 minutes for the next 20 moves and then 15 minutes for the rest of the game  with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting after move 61 has been made.
If a player refuses to participate in the World Championship Match, she will be replaced as follows: The runner up finalist of the Women’s World Championship 2010 WGM Ruan Lufei replaces the Women’s world champion Hou Yifan and the next player in the overall standings of the Women’s Grand-Prix 2009-2011 replaces the challenger. In case any or both players refuse to participate when invited, or for any further replacements needed, the rating list of January 2011 will be used to determine their replacements. The Players shall be entitled to inspect the accommodation arranged for them at the Venue three days before the first game of the match and shall be entitled to make reasonable requests regarding such accommodation.
