Chess blog for latest news and trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hi everyone,

The Tata Steel Chess Super-GM Tournament 2011 is at an exciting point. We've already had such great games that you can call the tournament a 'power chess show'. Round 9 saw Kramnik and Aronian win to join the leaders Anand and Nakamura while Carlsen pulled off a draw playing the last several moves with just one minute on the clock against Vachier-Lagrave. Here are the standings. Before that, as always, the video of the round. Enjoy.

The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is held from Friday, January 14th till Sunday, January 30th, 2011 in Wijk aan Zee, The Netherlands.
