Tigran Kotanjyan leads Asryan Memorial Chess Tournament

Hello Everyone,

The 3rd Karen Asryan Memorial with 64 chess players from Armenia, Russia and Georgia participating is being held in the beautiful city of Jermuk in Armenia.

After six rounds, Tigran Kotanjyan is leading with five points. He drew his sixth round with Shanava Konstantine. In second place is David Petrosyan and in third place is Georgian grandmaster Shanava Konstantine.

The tournament with a USD15 thousand prize fund will last till October 14.

Karen Asryan, the Armenian grandmaster, who shone at the 2006 Chess Olympiad, died at the age of 28 in 2008.
