Hou Yifan - Bundle of chess talent

Hello Everyone!

Wang Hao and Ju Wenjun were recently crowned Chinese Chess Champions. There were 11 men and one woman - Hou Yifan - in the Open Section. The Championship was held in Xinghua, Jiangsu. Hou Yifan didn't do too well in the Open Section but then, she did come up with some interesting games. That is commendable considering the field in which four of the 11 men tied for the first spot. Check out the following game by the young talent:

Here is the PGN: 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 d6 6. Be2 a6 7. O-O Qc7 8. f4 Be7 9. Kh1 b5 10. Bf3 Bb7 11. e5 dxe5 12. fxe5 Nfd7 13. Bxb7 Qxb7 14.
Qg4 Nc6 15. Nxc6 Qxc6 16. a4 b4 17. Ne4 h5 18. Qf4 O-O 19. Be3 Rad8 20. Rad1 Qxc2 21. Rd2 Qc7 22. Nd6 Nxe5 23. Qxe5 Rxd6 24. Rxd6 Qxd6 25. Qxh5 Qd3 26. Qf3 Bf6 27. Bc5 Qxf3 28. gxf3 Rc8 29. Bxb4 Bxb2 30. Rf2 Bd4 31. Ra2 Rc1+ 32. Kg2 Rg1+ 33. Kh3 Ra1 34. Rd2 e5 35. a5 Ra4 0-1

I really like Hou Yifan. I am of course a great fan of Alexandra and I would love it if she remains world champion for ever and ever. But Yifan is a worthy heir apparent to Alexandra I think - even more than Koneru Humpy.

Yifan has shown a little energy loss after the women's world championship. Or, is it that she is focusing on men's tournament. Maybe, we expect to see some strong chess from her when she takes part in her next all-women's tournament.
