Pawn: A Cool Short film from Singapore on Life's Lessons and Chess

Chess Blog for Daily Chess News and Trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2014

Hello everyone,

We found this nice video of a short film based on chess. Here's the summary info posted along with the video:

This entry was awarded Jury's Choice (Open Category) Best Cinematography in ciNE65 Season II competition (2013).

Steven Woon who played the grandfather in 'Pawn' is shortlisted for ciNE65 II Audience Choice Favourite Actor award.

As his grandson is a few days away from enlistment.
Ah kong imparts his advice and wisdom over a game of chess.

Life is like a game of chess, there are lessons to be learnt with every step we make. Therefore, 'Pawn' is a short film which raises the question,

Who will we be there for?
