Hi everyone,

Grandmaster Marat Dzhumaev (Uzbekistan)

GM Marat Dzhumaev of Uzbekistan has won the Rose Valley Chess Open - billed as Asia's biggest chess open - in Kolkata, by defeating International Master V Vishnu Prasanna in the 11th and final round that concluded here at Gorky Sadan. Second place went to Indian GM S P Sethuraman as he had to to be content with a second place finish after drawing with second seed Grandmaster Anton Korobov of Ukraine. Like Dzhumaev, Sethuraman also scored eight points out of a possible 11 but the Uzbek had better tiebreak score, according to a press release.
