The Ramadan Chess Tournaments are open to all chess players from around the world. For registration contact Zuhair Ahmad ( +971-50-6113117), Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club; Tel: + 971-2-6331110; Fax: +971-2-6333040, E-Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org; Website: www.abudhabichess.com.
But, do you know what's unique about this chess tournament? Possibly nowhere in the world is the prize distribution of a chess tournament held after 1 am (beyond midnight)! That is because, during the fasting month of Ramadan, Islamic cities bustle with activity after sunset when the fast has been broken!
