Hi everyone,

Iceland's Oliver Johannesson is leading after eight rounds at the 2012 Fide World Amateur Chess Championship in Port Carras, Greece. He has 7 points with a half-point lead over the rest. Four players have 6.5 points.

Top round 9 pairings are: Tsakiris Haralambos – Johannesson Oliver, Akinci Muzaffer Ege – Moscotes Fernando, Reyes Rios Juan Camilo – Musiienko Danylo, Tqavadze Giorgi – Manelidis Savvas, Paetz Carsten – Liberman Alexander, Kafetzis Georgios -Bes Michal and Pertaia Enver – Ersoz Bartu.
