GM Aleksandrov Aleksej top seed at 10th Parsvnath Delhi Chess Open 2012 from Jan 14

Hello everyone,

One of the most popular tournaments in South Asia, it is the Parsvnath International Open that is developing into a strong chess event at the start of every year. The tenth edition of the tournament is going to be held from 14-23rd January at the Ludlow Castle Sports Complex, New Delhi, India. Subject to FIDE approval, Accelerated Pairing will be employed for first two rounds of the event to increase norm chances of players.

The 9th Parsvnath International Open Chess Tournament saw 25 Grandmasters in action in a field of around 400 players from more than 20 countries. The winner was Ukrainian Grandmaster Alexander Areshchenko.
