Dortmund Chess Classic 2011 R1&2: Kramnik on perfect score

Hello everyone,


We're on top of the world switching screens, following games and just having real chess fun what with the super grandmasters of the world wowing our chess world in Nanjing, Dortmund and Biel.


Explosive chess: Meier-Kramnik


Time to speak about the latest chess news from Dortmund where former World Chess Champion Vladimir Kramnik of Russia has made an explosive start winning the first two games in as many rounds. In Round 1 Kramnik beat Ruslan Ponomariov - another former World Champion - while Meier-Liem and Giri-Nakamura games were drawn. In the second round we had only Liem and Nakamura draw their game while Ponomariov beat Anish Giri and Meier lost to Kramnik. You can check the official website at this link

The standings are two rounds have Kramnik with 2 points, Nakamura, Liem and Ponomariov with 1 point each, Giri and Meier with half a point each.
