Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hello everyone,

Magnus Carlsen and Sergey Karjakin have won their games in the fifth round of the Kings’ Tournament in Medias, Romania. Carlsen beat Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu while Karjakin beat Vassily Ivanchuk. Teimour Radjabov and Hikaru Nakamura drew their game.

With this Carlsen leads with 3.5 points, Karjakin has 3 points, Nakamura has 2.5 and the trio Ivanchuk, Radjabov and Nisipeanu have 2 points each. We have a rest day as five rounds have been completed.

As you know, the Kings Tournament is taking place from June 11-21 at the Natural Gas Documentation and Information Centre in Medias, Romania. You can access the official website at this link.

Here are the nice videos and great games from Round 5. Enjoy.

You can run the games in the popdown gameplayer that works great on all platforms.
