Hi Everybody,

The Parsvnath International Chess Tournament - one of India's most-famous events - saw another interesting upset in the third round. A young Sumit Grover rated just about 2100 beat Grandmaster Avigdor Bykhovsky though other top seeded players moved 'safely' to the next round.

Indian Grandmasters Parimarjan Negi, Abhijeet Gupta and Arun Prasad and top seed Alexander Areshchenko, Slovenian Grandmaster Lenic Luka and Mikhailo Oleksienko of Ukraine move to Round 4 with a perfect score. Negi beat Akash PC Iyer while Abhijeet and Arun Prasad beat Ahmed Feroz of Bangladesh and N Surendran.
